Welcome to the Anglican Church Women of the Anglican Province of Christ the King.

To better understand the ACW I would like to share the following “ACW PURPOSE” with you.

The ACW shall, through acts of Christian charity, help to support the mission of the Church in the Parish (or Mission), Diocese, and Province in such ways as shall be determined by the Rector (or Vicar), Bishop, or Archbishop, and the membership of the ACW. The ACW shall, likewise, support the works of the Anglican Church Women of the Diocese in which they reside, and the Anglican Church Women of the Anglican province of Christ the King; and with that association each should avail herself of the opportunity to grow as an individual and as a member of a group.

Each member of the ACW becomes a public relations herald of the parish. By her appearance, attitude, and conduct she represents her church to the community. She can thus further the work of the church substantially as an individual, as well as by her participation in the activities of the ACW as a group.

It is recognized that, since the division of the province into three dioceses, the Anglican Church Women at the diocesan level should be the principal organization to guide and to coordinate the efforts of individual parish groups. This will enable the ACW to concentrate more directly on the needs and desires of the ladies of The Church in the frame-work of geographical areas. Thus, many of the functions which the provincial level of the group has endeavored to perform should devolve to the diocesan level. The Provincial ACW Officers and Advisory Board shall be comprised of the Diocesan ACW Presidents.

The Provincial ACW endeavors through prayer and activities to promote growth in the Province; likewise, the Diocesan ACW promotes growth in the diocese; and last, but certainly not least, the Parish ACW promotes growth in her parish with love, support, and lots and lots of work.

The Provincial Anglican Church Women (ACW) undertakes the following:

  • Distribute the Liturgical Ordo Kalendar for use with the 1928 Book of Common Prayer and with the Anglican and American Missals.

  • To continue the Lenten Offering for the benefit of the St. Joseph of Arimathea Anglican Theological College and its work throughout the province.

2 Corinthians 4:5,6
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hat shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
