Around the Province
The Church of the Ascension in Manchester, Connecticut,
has purchased a beautiful church building and rectory with the help
of the Provincial Development Fund.
The Rev. V.E. Novak has been appointed Ecumenical Officer
for Anglican Province of Christ the King by Archbishop Robert S.
Morse.
On May 29 the Rt. Rev. Rocco Florenza offered Mass and Confirmed
at Grace Church in Louisville, Kentucky.
Deacon Harold Minor was ordained to the priesthood by the
Rt. Rev. Rocco Florenza on June 4, at the pro-Cathedral of the Resurrection
in Ansonia, Connecticut.
The Diocese of the Southwestern States was the hosting diocese
for the College of Bishops meeting which met from May 19-26 at All
Saints Pro-Cathedral in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Rt. Rev. William Wiygul visited Sanford, North Carolina,
on Saturday, June 4, for the inaugural meeting of St. Joseph's Anglican
Church. The new congregation is a mission of St. George's Anglican
Church in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Deacon Paul Kelly is serving
as Deacon-in-Charge.
The Rev. Daniel McGrath, Vicar of Our Saviour, Santa Barbara,
received his doctorate in music from the University of California
at Santa Barbara.
The Rev. Roderick Pomroy has accepted a call to become rector
of St. Peter's Pro-Cathedral in Oakland, CA.
