Archdiocese of Washington, DC Established

Following the celebration of Holy Mass for the Feast of Pentecost at the National Cathedral of Christ the King in Washington, DC, Archbishop Robert S. Morse convened the organizational synod of the Archdiocese of Washington, DC, on Monday, June 9th. The Archdiocese covers the District of Columbia, as well as portions of Maryland and Virginia, and will serve as the headquarters of the national Church and the See of the Archbishop. The synod concluded with Holy Mass at noon, followed by a time of fellowship and discussion.
