Ordinations and Appointments
- Mr. Frank Brulc was ordained priest on
on June 1, 2002, by The Rt. Rev. Frederick G. Morrison at St.
Nicholas Church, Scottsdale, AZ, to serve as vicar of St. Nicholas.
- The Rev. Mr. Charles Nalls and The
Rev. Mr. Daniel McGrath were both ordained on June 9, 2002,
to the sacred order of Priests by The Most Rev. Robert Sherwood
Morse at the Parish of Christ the King, Washington, DC. Father
Sam Edwards preached the sermon at the ordination. Fr. Nalls will
serve at the Parish of Christ the King in Washington, D.C. and
Fr. McGrath will be Vicar of Our Savior in Santa Barbara, CA.
- Mr. Gideon Seaman was ordained Deacon
on June 30, 2002, by The Most Rev. Robert Sherwood Morse at Saint
Augustine of Canterbury Church, Chico, CA. Father Peter F. Hansen
preached the sermon.
- Mr. Jason Kindrick was ordained to the
Diaconate by The Rt. Rev. Robert Waggener on June 15, 2002, at
the Church of the Epiphany, Columbia, SC. The Rev. George Clendenin
preached at the ordination. Deacon Kindrick will continue his
education at the University of North Dakota.
- The Rev. David Hoare was called to be
the new Rector of St. Bartholomew's Church, Woodinville, WA, and
was instituted by Archbishop Morse on August 4, 2002.
- The Rev. Canon David Wastie was instituted
as Rector of St. Michael's Church, Winchester, VA on April 27,
2002, by The Rt. Rev. Robert Waggener, Bishop of the Southern
States.
- The Rev. John Upham was instituted as
Rector of St. George's, Raleigh, NC on May 30, 2002, by Bishop
Waggener.
- The Rev. John Sharpe was instituted as
Vicar of St. Mark's, Durham, NC on June 2, 2002, by Bishop Waggener.
- The Rev. William Wiygul, as Rector of
Holy Comforter, Montevallo, AL, has retired from that parish.
Father Wiygul plans to live and work in Florida and continue as
Diocesan Administrator for the Diocese of the Southern States.
