Parish News

  • After a year of careful planning, St. Martin of Tours, Concord, CA, opened the first preschool in the APCK. Fr. Mathieu Bosschart, Rector of St. Martin's, reports that eight students are already enrolled. The children study, play, pledge allegiance to the flag, and say their prayers daily. Expanded facilities may be needed for the growing demand.
  • St. Luke's, Redding, CA announces that, thanks to the blessings of God over the past year, attendance has doubled and the church needs to expand its building. Plans before the city include adding 13-feet to the length of the building, and two new transepts--about 1000 sq.ft. in all, to increase the seating capacity by 70. There is hope to raise a bell tower and add a nursery building as well.
  • Bishop Robert F. Waggener blessed a new steeple and cross for the Church of the Transfiguration, Phoenixville, PA. The Rev. Paul Hewett is Rector of the church.
