New Church to be Built in Cheyenne, Wyoming
The latest congregation to receive a construction loan from the
Provincial Development Fund is All Saints Anglican Church in Cheyenne,
Wyoming. The new church will be made of logs and will be built in
a brand new housing development on Terry Ranch Road, south of the
city of Cheyenne.
The log building is being built on a two acre plot given by a California
couple, and will serve as a church and meeting house for the new
community that is expected to form. Bishop James Provence dedicated
the land last October. The plat of land was prepared by Larry Perry,
a surveyor and member of the Bishop's Committee of All Saints. It
recently won an award for the best subdivision in the State of Wyoming
in 2004.
Fr. Jeffrey Smith, a priest in the Province for eighteen years,
is the vicar of All Saints Anglican Church. His other congregation,
the Church of the Ascension in Fort Collins, Colorado, is now searching
for land for its own building project. The construction of All Saints
Church is being made possible by the Provincial Development Fund,
and it is your generous financial support of that Fund that allows
this important work to continue.
