· In the last issue of The Province, construction plans for St. George's Church in Las Vegas were announced. St. George's has now broken ground in this drive to establish a church in Las Vegas. Fr. Gordon Hines is rector of the parish.

· All Saints, Tulsa, OK, is now enjoying its newly completed church facility on its 5-1/2 acre wooded lot. Church, parish hall, kitchen and cemetery are debt free. All Saints is the temporary administrative center for the Diocese of the Southwestern States.

· Father Jeff Smith serves dual duty at St. Luke's Christ the King, Sedona, AZ, and St. Mary the Virgin in San Diego. His wife, Lynn, manufactures excellent quality church linens which are for sale to our altar guilds at a great savings.

In the past few months four dedicated priests serving the Province of Christ the King have gone to their eternal reward:

  • The Rev. Father Will A. Augsburger: rector emeritus, Church of the Holy Family, Arcata, CA
  • The Rev. Canon Valentine R. Dodd: canon missioner and rector, St. Mary the Virgin, San Diego, CA
  • The Rev. Father Alfred P. Martinez: assistant priest, St. Nicholas, Scottsdale, AZ
  • The Rev. Curtis Morris: former rector of St. Mary's, Winter Haven, FL

May they and all the faithful departed rest in peace, and may light perpetual shine upon them.
