We are now at that time of the year when the Church must draw up its annual budget for the year ahead. As in any family it is important to plan how we will be able to pay for the projected costs of tomorrow.

As Eucharistic Christians we offer in every Liturgy "ourselves, our souls and bodies to be a whole and living sacrifice." To fully participate in the Eucharist we express this offering of ourselves in the action of the Offertory. Money is our life minted. If we are paid $30.00 an hour we will return $3.00 to meet the Biblical standard of giving. It represents returning a portion of our lies in gratitude to the service of the living God.

When we make out our pledge card this year remember this truth.
